Review of Dune
Product range. Footwear and accessories for men and women: handbags, belts, scarves, sunglasses, hats, gloves, watches, jewellery, and even some perfume. Footwear makes up the greater part of Dune's collections. Dune footwear styles are diverse and somewhat hard to pigeonhole. All in all, Dune stores offer the footwear to suit just about any taste: cowboy boots, "Dr. Martens" like rugged leather boots, calf boots, oxfords, brogues, slippers, slip-ons, ballet shoes and other shoes of all kinds, espadrilles, sneakers, and sandals that cover the leg in all ways imaginable and are available as high heels, wedges, and flats.
Originality. Dune's competitive advantage lies in the diversity offered. Everybody may perhaps find there something to their liking: be they fashion-conscious people or those who wholeheartedly subscribe to 'anything goes' attitude, sporty style enthusiasts or romantically inclined young men and women, university professors or their students, office workers or freelance artists.
Chic. High heel slim fitting calf boots stand side by side with mid heel suede ankle boots resembling those from Maison Margiela and Vetements collections: Dune's designers are not fashion-forward, but rest assured they keep their eyes on the trends.
Pricing. Reasonable. All items are within the £250 range. Most of them falls into the under-£100 range.
Corporate history highlights. As of 1992, Dune was just another Oxford Street store. Launching a store on Kings Road Street has proved pivotal: the brand began to gain recognition and respect. In 2002, Dunes footwear made several appearances at fashion shoes in Milano, Paris, and New York , and since then the company have entered the rapid growth phase. Nowadays, Dune can boast a network of over 300 stores worldwide.
